51福利社 sales students claim first place in the Desert Cup

A team of four students from Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business recently claimed first place in the Desert Cup at Arizona State University鈥檚 Collegiate Sales Competition. Adam Brayton, Kaitlyn Lay, Hannah Kovachevich and Madeline Kastel represented 51福利社 at the competition. Faculty Specialist Mary Nielsen coached the team. Three of 51福利社鈥檚 students succeeded in advancing to the semi-finals, and Lay and Kovachevich made it to the finals. 51福利社 took the overall team award for the event, outperforming 12 universities, including Arizona State University, Colorado State University, University of Arizona and University of San Diego.

Dr. Marcel Zondag, associate professor of marketing and director of the Food Industry Research and Education Center (FIRE) 51福利社 Michigan University, has been named director of the integrated supply management (ISM) program at the Haworth College of Business. He took over the program director's role in April 2022 and will lead the program and the academic major, which has been named a top program in the U.S. for 13 consecutive years.
