Sandi Doctor, MBA’83
President, Northwood Group

Sandi Doctor has spent her career in the investment management industry. She began as an equity analyst at First of America Bank (now PNC Bank), where she earned her Certified Financial Analyst designation. Doctor then went on to become a founder of LVM Capital Management in 1988. For 25 years at LVM, she was a portfolio manager and equity analyst who enjoyed working closely with her clients. She was approached to join Northwood Group in 2013, a family office in Kalamazoo, where she is currently president.

She is deeply invested in the betterment of Kalamazoo. Doctor is the chair of the investment committee and a board member for the 51¸£ÀûÉç Foundation, and was previously on the Haworth College of Business Advisory Council.  

For more than seven years she has been a part of the Kalamazoo Investment Committee, the group responsible for the investment management of the City of Kalamazoo Pension Fund, the Kalamazoo Foundation for Excellence, the Kalamazoo County Pension Fund and the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.

Doctor earned an MBA with a specialization in finance from Western Michigan University in 1983 and a Bachelor of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 1979.
