Bronco Spotlight: Kendry Bautista Mosquea
Production Supervisor at Anheuser Bush InBev (ABInBev), Dominican Republic
As a production supervisor, I am responsible for coaching staff members to ensure the quality and efficiency of processes used to pack the end product (beer, water, soda, etc.) in our production facility. I work with management to ensure that all company policies and procedures are being followed by staff members; always keeping in mind that the safety of our employees and customers, as well as the quality of our products are the most important things.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is praising my team members when they meet or exceed performance expectations. The most challenging part of it is making sure to always leave personal problems "outside" of the work environment and get along with all my staff members; the age gap between me and some of my staff members makes this very difficult sometimes.
What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?
Things that absolutely help: Every subject covered in classes during my career 51福利社, Microsoft Office (specially Excel), advice given by all my instructors (specially Dr. David Lyth), an internship at General Motors Company, and life experiences.
What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?
First, attend classes and ask questions: take advantage of the resources available 51福利社. Second, do an internship as soon as possible: it is a great way to put into practice what you are learning, and helps you realize if that's the right field for you. Third, look for a mentor: talk to a professor and work on a research assistantship if possible. Fourth, be involved in on-campus activities and join RSO: this is a great way to create connections that might help in the future. Finally, remember that ONCE A BRONCO, ALWAYS A BRONCO!
