I conduct behavioral evaluations, develop early intervention and school based behavioral interventions for clients who have developmental disabilities, provide parent trainings as well as staff training and supervision.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most rewarding thing about my job is seeing my clients acquiring adaptive skills that will help them become more autonomous individuals in the years to come. I love being able to sit and work with our kiddos and feeling like I'm adding value to their lives. The most challenging part of my job is being able to work within the limitations that some insurances put on clinicians in terms of the hours they authorize us (BCBAs) either to work directly or supervise with clients.
