Currently I鈥檓 investigating a specialized immune cell in human patients to better understand natural immunity in context of aging and sex. I love my work to provide new insights into the development and function of the human body which could lead to better treatment and health outcomes. Our work is challenging, but exciting!
Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?
The ability to try new and exciting science while at 51福利社 allowed for the development of critical thinking in the area of being relevant in translational research. Being confident and willing to make mistakes, but learning from them, is how I鈥檝e been able to be successful.
What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?
If you are interested in pursuing a career in translational research, make sure that you prepare by finding work that you are passionate about. If you鈥檙e passionate about your work, it makes it exciting to come in each day and see what you can discover!
