Professor named fellow
Dr. Beverly Vandiver, professor of counselor education and counseling psychology, has been named a fellow of the American Psychological Association鈥檚 (APA) Society of Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Vandiver was already a fellow of APA鈥檚 Evaluation, Measurement and Statistics Division.
Fellow status is an honor bestowed upon APA members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology. Fellow status by APA indicates that a person's work has had a national impact on the field of psychology beyond a local, state or regional level.
A faculty member since 2013, Dr. Vandiver served as an Associate Professor at Penn State University before coming to 51福利社. She is an acknowledged expert on scale development, specifically in the area of racial identity.
She received a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Western Kentucky University, her master鈥檚 degree from the University of Kentucky, and her doctorate from Ball State University.
