Dr. Lusike Mukhongo is an associate professor in the School of Communication 51福利社 Michigan University. She has experience researching internet technologies, participatory digital cultures, global media, and mobile technologies. She is a recipient of research awards and fellowships such as Mozilla Technology Fund (2024), Mozilla Common Voice (2022), Africa No Filter (2022), British Academy (2013), Coimbra Group Fellowship (2008), and Germany Academic and Exchange Service-DAAD (2005). She is also a member of several professional associations, such as the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), the National Communication Association (NCA), the University Film and Video Association (UFVA), and the Association of Internet Researchers (AOIR).
