Feasibility Study
Previous | Back to Overview of the Facilities Project Process | Next
Request a Bronco Project.
This phase is only required if project scope cannot be defined yet or different solutions and alternatives are to be evaluated.
The Feasibility Phase begins with the approval of the feasibility budget which will include the following:
- feasibility study
- design and construction documents
- professional time for the project manager, designer and contractors
- design contingency.
This phase generates scope, budget and preliminary schedule. With this information the university makes major decisions about project direction. The preliminary schedule for programming, design and construction may also be drafted at this time.
The Study Phase, typically conducted by the planning staff at 51福利社 Campus Facilities, includes comparative research into similar projects at other institutions, interviews with the intended user groups, exploration of potential building sites, and identification of possible effects on existing university systems, such as parking, building services, and utilities. The project is also evaluated as to its appropriateness relative to the 51福利社 Campus Master Plan.
