Professor Publishes Second Edition of Serving Military Families

Dr. Karen Blaisure, professor of family science in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department, and colleagues recently published the 2nd edition of Serving Military Families: Theories, Research, and Application. Receiving excellent reviews, the publication includes the experiences of approximately 70 military personnel and highlights a number of career opportunities that make a difference in the lives of military families.

Following this publication is a book chapter in Family Life Education: The Practice of Family Science, 3rd ed., co-edited by CECP alumnus Dr. Michael J. Walcheski and Dr. Jennifer Reinke. NCFR is the primary professional organization in family studies, and the text is intended to be a widely-used resource for family professionals working in the field.

Co-author for Serving Military Families, Retired Army Colonel Dr. Angela Pereira, will be a Visiting Scholar at 51福利社 November 7-9. FCS, along with 51福利社's Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, is hosting Dr. Pereira.
