Dr. Applegate, Ph.D. earned his doctorate in Educational Psychology with a concentration in applied statistics, psychometrics and research methods in 1986 from Texas A&M University. He is a full Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology and Program Coordinator for the graduate programs in Evaluation, Measurement and Research 51福利社 Michigan University. Dr. Applegate has authored and coauthored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles; two book chapters, over 85 peer-reviewed presentations at professional conferences and has been actively involved in funded research for 35 years, participating in over 35 nationally and internationally funded projects. Dr. Applegate has extensive experience in research design, applied statistics, structural equation modeling, design and analysis of psychological measurements; including diagnostic measurement and disease classification, psycho-educational ability/achievement measurement. He teaches doctoral level courses in psychometrics, structural equation modeling, applied statistics, research methodology and philosophy of scientific inquiry. His research interests and activities span many disciplines - crossing education, the social and health sciences. Since the 1990 he has worked with many different researchers within the health sciences and allied health professions, i.e., physical therapy, as a measurement, research, and analysis expert. Dr. Applegate was part of the team that developed and validated the Amputee Mobility Predictor Assessment Tool (AMPpro) with Dr. Gailey and regularly consults with researchers, clinicians and manufacturing entities in regard to research and clinical intervention outcomes in the amputee population.
