Accomplished playwright is next in Frostic Reading Series

KALAMAZOO--An award-winning playwright whose credits include screenwriting for major television shows visits the area to read from his work as part of the Western Michigan University Frostic Reading Series.

Sean Clark, who has written for such television series as "Early Edition," "Man of the People," "Evening Shade," "Northern Exposure," "Coach" and several series pilots, will read at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Room 157 of the Bernhard Center. The reading is free and open to the public.

Clark has written a number of plays, including "Eleven-Zulu," "Dog Explosion" and "The Angeles Crest." He wrote the script for the feature film "Lenin and Us," which was released in Europe in 2009.

Clark's career has encompassed a wide variety of occupations. He has worked as a sportswriter, high school teacher and soldier. He is currently the head of the Writing for Dramatic Media graduate program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
