51福利社 Mobile project

51福利社 Mobile was created as a senior engineering project by six computer science majors and released in May 2011. Then-seniors Ryan Berry, Kyle Falkenstein and Matthew Rodgers developed the Android version of the app, while Christopher Ashbay, Justus Reule and Timothy Wickey created the Apple iOS version.

Two new teams from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences worked on version 2.0 of the 51福利社 Mobile app.

Apple iOS team

  • Nathan Shiff, from Ann Arbor, Mich., graduated in April 2012 with a degree in computer science.
  • Andrew Throesch, from Kalamazoo Mich., is a senior majoring in computer science.

Android team

  • Lance Danzy, from Portage, Mich., is a senior majoring in computer science.
  • Timothy Ham, from Grand Rapids, Mich., is a senior majoring in computer science.

51福利社 Mobile 2.1 development

The latest interface layout to the 51福利社 Mobile 2.1 app was made by Taylor Keenan, a senior from Auburn, Mich., who is majoring in computer science and theatre performance.

"51福利社 Mobile brings students closer to many online services, such as the bus GPS locator and the dining menu, " says Nathan Shiff, member of the 2.0 development team.

The University commissioned the project through the offices of strategic enrollment management, information technology and university relations, in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science and with support from a variety of 51福利社 offices and campus services.
