KALAMAZOO鈥擳he Western Michigan University Bronco football team will close its home season Saturday, Nov. 17, with a 2 p.m. game against Eastern Michigan University and a special Salute to Veterans at Waldo Stadium.

A number of special events at the game will mark this week鈥檚 Veterans Day and focus on 51福利社 student and alumni veterans and current members of the campus鈥檚 ROTC unit.

  • During pre-game activities, 51福利社 ROTC cadets have been designated as the group to run the 51福利社 flag onto the field.
  • To start the game, honorary team captains Ryan McCann, a 2010 51福利社 alumnus who has just returned from deployment in Afghanistan, and his wife Ashley, a 2011 alumna and graduate student at 51福利社, will participate in the opening coin toss.
  • Throughout the game, several 51福利社 student veterans will be announced and their pictures shown on the stadium the big screen.
