Teacher Education Career Fair set

KALAMAZOO鈥擩ob opportunities for teachers will be showcased during Western Michigan University's 25th annual Teacher Education Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the East Ballroom of the Bernhard Center.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is designed to recruit teachers for K-12 educational systems for the 2013-14 academic year and to provide information about 51福利社's graduate-school opportunities.

This year's event will feature recruiters representing more than 80 school districts in Michigan and 17 other states as well as China, Japan and Korea. Candidates for teaching positions do not need to preregister for the fair, but should dress in interview attire and bring a sufficient supply of resumes to distribute to prospective employers.

Sponsors for the 2013 Education Career Fair include 51福利社's College of Education and Human Development and Career and Student Employment Services. Volunteering to help out at the event are members of the following 51福利社 student organizations: Drive Safe Kalamazoo, Young Black Male Support Network and You Beautiful Black Woman鈥擸BBW.

A printed list of these registered school districts, as well as a printed sheet of helpful hints for preparing for the education career fair, may be picked up on campus in the Career and Student Employment Services office on the first floor of Ellsworth Hall, which is located next to the Bernhard Center.
