Peter Chu and company to perform concert
KALAMAZOO鈥擠ancer and choreographer Peter Chu and his company chuthis will perform excerpts from his full-length piece "Nothing Sticks" at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Chenery Auditorium, 714 S. Westnedge Ave. in Kalamazoo.

Recipient of the prestigious 2010 Capezio A.C.E. Award for Choreography, Chu has choreographed for Naomi Stikeman's C抬aturn, Perry Mansfield New Works Festival, for the ninth season of "So You Think You Can Dance," and most recently, a full-length work for the Houston Met Dance Company. In 2012-13 he toured as faculty of the 24 Seven Dance Convention, and premiered a new work for Orlando Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Robert Hill. In winter 2014, Mr. Chu will join Kidd Pivot for a North American and European tour.

'Nothing Sticks'
"Nothing Sticks" is a tale about resistance and change that tackles the complexities of impermanence and the human tendency to doubt even our own perceptions of reality.
The Sept. 27 performance also will feature a new solo performed and choreographed by Chu, Love Trailings, as well as a sneak preview of his commissioned new work for 51福利社 dancers scheduled for premiere at the Winter Gala Dance Concert in January 2014.
