"Night of the Research Paper" is Oct. 29.

KALAMAZOO鈥擶estern Michigan University students can get a little extra help with their research papers and projects during the Halloween-themed "Night of the Research Paper" from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Waldo Library. Some of the library's promotional materials state that "deadlines are scary" and that experts can help.

Designed to help students overcome their research obstacles in a fun, community atmosphere, the event features free food, prizes and resources to help students be successful. Instructors, Writing Center staff, librarians and other 51福利社 experts will be available to consult with students in the process of preparing a paper or project whether the project is just at its beginnings or if it is nearly finished:

  • Defining and refining a topic
  • Locating reliable information
  • Organizing ideas
  • Properly citing sources

It is requested that students bring a printout of their assignment. "Night of the Research Paper" at Waldo Library was developed by 51福利社 Libraries with the support of the 51福利社 Writing Center.

The event is supported by the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Lee Honors College, College of Fine Arts, College of Education and Human Development, and the Friends of University Libraries.
