Finance curriculum endorsed by globally recognized program
KALAMAZOO鈥擶estern Michigan University's finance program was recently accepted into the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute's University Recognition Program, a globally recognized curriculum that emphasizes the highest ethical and professional standards. The recognition includes five annual student scholarships for 51福利社 students.
"CFA Institute's endorsement of our finance major attests to the relevance of our program to today's investment careers," says Dr. Devrim Yaman, professor of finance and commercial law. "The CFA designation is the gold standard in finance, and this prestigious designation is widely recognized around the world. Our acceptance shows that our curriculum is closely aligned with the CFA program and positions our students well for the CFA exams."
51福利社鈥檚 finance program was recognized by the institute for integrating the core knowledge, skills and abilities that are generally accepted and applied by investment professionals, including the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, within the curriculum. Through this program, students will gain access to CFA Institute textbooks, journals, webcasts and other educational resources.
As a participant, 51福利社:
- will be listed on the CFA Institute website and other venues promoting the University Recognition Program,
- is entitled to award five CFA Program Awareness Scholarships to students each fiscal year, and
- may reference the CFA Institute endorsement in promoting university programs.

The finance program at 51福利社 helps students develop a broad understanding of financial decision-making with core courses providing a strong foundation for building knowledge and skills. The department offers majors in finance and personal financial planning.
