Integrated supply management student named APICS Scholar
KALAMAZOO鈥擜 student in the Western Michigan University integrated supply management program has won the APICS Scholar Award.
As part of the award, Ashley Moyle, of Mattawan, Mich., will attend conferences and learn valuable information pertaining to supply chain operations management, as well as network with supply chain professionals worldwide.
As an APICS scholar, Moyle will attend a five-day conference in Florida, participating in various program activities and events centered around learning and improving supply chain and operations management skills. She will be paired with a professional APICS mentor, who will share real-world experiences and knowledge, and will have opportunities to meet and network with industry experts.
With more than 2,000 attendees from 40 countries, Moyle will network with many professionals who can open doors for her. An APICS student career fair will also be available during the conference.
"I am very excited to meet and network with professionals within the supply chain industry as well as to attend the different information sessions and participate in the student career fair that they are hosting during the conference," Moyle says.
The level of competition for the award is very high, notes Ken Jones, director of executive education and advisor for the student chapter of APICS.
"Only a very select group of student applicants receive the prestigious APICS Scholar Award," Jones says, "and for Ashley to have done so is not only a tremendous indicator of her leadership of the 51福利社 APICS student chapter, but also of her success in the classroom and general professionalism."
APICS, the Association for Operations Management, is the global leader in supply chain and operations management. APICS provides training, internationally recognized certifications and comprehensive resources for industry professionals.
