51福利社 Symphony Orchestra features bassoon and horn soloists
KALAMAZOO, Mich.--The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2 in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature 51福利社 School of Music faculty members Wendy Rose, Bassoon, and Lin Foulk, Horn, as soloists in Franz Widerkehr鈥檚 Symphonie Concertante for horn and bassoon. Graduate assistant conductor Ahmed Anzaldua will lead the orchestra in Mozart鈥檚 Overture to his opera, Don Giovanni. The program will conclude with Ludwig van Beethoven鈥檚 Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68 - his only programmatic symphony, nicknamed "The Pastoral."
