'Pilot Error' event honoring 51福利社 rescheduled
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擯romoters of a new film with several Western Michigan University connections have rescheduled the 51福利社 tribute night that was canceled Nov. 18 due to bad weather.
The film "Pilot Error," which counts four 51福利社 alumni among its cast and crew, will pay tribute to the University and its theatre program at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Kalamazoo 10 theatre in Oshtemo. The event will include a screening of the film at a cost of only $5 for students.
Among the night's 51福利社-connected participants will be alumna and lead actress Kate Thomsen as well as Joan Herrington, professor and chair of theatre, and D. Terry Williams, 51福利社 professor emeritus and former chair of theatre. In addition, a 51福利社 student pilot will be on hand for the event.
The new mystery/drama "Pilot Error" also will be shown at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and at various times later that week in the Kalamazoo 10 as well as in the Celebration theatre in Portage.
