51福利社 Symphonic Band to present variety-packed program
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擳he Western Michigan University Symphonic Band will present a variety-packed program at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in Miller Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature wind ensemble classics like Grainger鈥檚 "Irish Tune from County Derry" and "Shepherd鈥檚 Hey" as well as Husa鈥檚 "Music for Prague 1968." The program will open with Shostakovich鈥檚 dazzling "Festive Overture" and will close with Michael Daugherty鈥檚 rousing conga-dancing tribute to Desi Arnaz.
