University Theatre presents 'Water by the Spoonful'
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶estern Michigan University students will stage several performances of "Water by the Spoonful," from Friday. Feb. 10, through Sunday, Feb. 19, in the Williams Theatre at the Gilmore Theatre Complex.
In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play about addiction in the digital age, strangers come together in an internet chat group for support as they recover from their drug dependencies. The performance contains mature content, and audience members must be 16 years old or older to attend.

Director Mark Liermann and lighting designer Matthew A. Knewtson, convey the idea of an Internet chat room on stage through a sculpture created with plastic wrap. The extensive use of projections complements the innovative scenic and lighting design.
Under Liermann's direction, the all-student cast includes Evan Lugo, Jordan Mosley, Alejandra Luna, Avery Kenyatta, Kurt Misteravich, Elizabeth Yamauchi and Joey Huizar.

All seating for "Water by the Spoonful" at Williams Theatre is general admission. Tickets are $20, $18 for senior citizens and 51福利社 employees, $6 for 51福利社 students and $10 for all other students.
