51福利社 wins MAC Institutional Academic Achievement Award
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶estern Michigan University's athletics program has been recognized for having the highest overall institutional grade-point average for student-athletes competing in the Mid-American Conference during the 2016-17 academic year.
51福利社 received the MAC Institutional Academic Achievement Award for posting an overall GPA of 3.253 for the past academic year based on 398 students in 15 MAC sports. This marks the first time 51福利社 has earned this prestigious honor and the second time this month Bronco student-athletes have been recognized for showing strong academically. Earlier in September, the 51福利社 men's athletics program was named the winner of the 2016-17 MAC Faculty Athletics Representative Men's Academic Achievement Award for being the conference institution with the overall highest GPA rank by gender.
"We could not be more proud of our entire body of student-athletes for this incredible academic achievement," said 51福利社 Director of Athletics Kathy Beauregard. "While we have had great success in competition over the past year, the Institutional Academic Achievement award is by far our greatest accomplishment. In addition to recognizing our student-athletes and coaching staffs, I would also like to thank Jeff Stone and the rest of our academic staff for their tireless efforts to make sure our student-athletes are supported in their educational endeavors."
