The MAC Academic Leadership Development Program is a professional development program that aims to identify a select group of faculty and administrators in an effort to develop, prepare and enhance their ability to be effective academic leaders. The program will feature opportunities for faculty and leadership to work together and is highlighted by two workshops. This year's workshops will be Nov. 6-8 at Kent State University and Feb. 19-21 at 51福利社.

"Our MAC schools share a fierce commitment to academic success, research excellence and community service," says Todd Diacon, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at Kent State University. "The MAC-ALDP will train the future leadership of our member institutions so that we can expand and continue this shared commitment to academic excellence, administrative effectiveness and higher educational leadership."

MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher says the program will enhance growth and leadership.

"Through the thoughtful and collaborative efforts of our provosts, other institutional leaders and conference staff, this professional development opportunity has launched and should provide tremendous value to the participants and the membership," says Steinbrecher. "This will be an excellent tool to enhance the growth and development of future leaders in higher education and is another way in which the MAC can provide value to its membership beyond intercollegiate athletics."
