KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Theatre Kalamazoo will host a festival featuring new plays by Kalamazoo playwrights on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10, in the Judy K. Jolliffe Theatre, formerly Epic Theatre, in downtown Kalamazoo. The event is free and open to the public, and no reservations are necessary.

Sponsored by 51¸£ÀûÉçK 102.1 FM, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, plays contain mature content and are not intended for younger audiences, unless otherwise noted.

• "Bloody Waters" by Kendra Flournoy, produced by Face Off Theatre Company/Black Arts and Cultural Center.
• "Homemakers, 1967" by Gordon Bolar, produced by the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre.
• "If Henry Didn’t Kill His Wives" by Darcy Sturges, produced by Kalamazoo College Theatre Arts.
• "Just Suppose" by Tucker Rafferty, produced by the Farmers Alley Theatre.
• "Sacrament" by Dan Lafferty, produced by Center Stage Theatre.
• "Spells for Gay Black Suns, Signed by the Heart" by Robert Davis, produced by 51¸£ÀûÉç Theatre and Queer Theatre Kalamazoo.
• "The Velveteen Rabbit" by Darcy Sturges, produced by Kindleberger Arts Commission.
