Doris 'Dori' A. Rey obituary

Rey, of Kalamazoo, came to 51福利社 in 1965 and retired in 2006 after 41 years of service to the University. At the time of her retirement, she had been serving for several years as an office associate in what was then the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

The administrative secretary initially worked in the Graduate College. Eight years later, she joined the McGinnis Reading Center and Clinic, and that is where she spent the majority of her 51福利社 career.

Rey wore two hats at the clinic, which in her era was part of the Department of Education and Professional Development. She handled work related to 51福利社's master's program in reading, including processing admissions and maintaining records. According to an interview she did for the Western News, 51福利社's faculty, staff and retiree publication, Rey became so involved in her clinic job that she was inspired to finish her own bachelor's degree. The adult development and learning major earned her degree at the University in 1988鈥攁fter 12 years of taking classes.
