'Fish in the Dark'

Written by and originally starring Larry David, "Fish in the Dark" delivers what audiences have come to expect from the comic genius who brought us "Seinfeld" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." This side-splitting comedy centers around Norman Drexel and his family as they are coping with a recent death. As the family patriarch falls apart and assorted family members come to pay their last respects, they all squabble over everything from which son will have to take care of Mom to who will get Dad's Rolex watch. As Norman deals with loss, old acquaintances and unsettled arguments resurface with hilarious consequences.

"The brilliance of Larry David's writing is in how horrible all the characters are," says Director Mark Leirmann. "We laugh because they always say what we really think but never actually say ourselves."

Following Larry David's performance, the role of Norman Drexel was played by Seinfeld comedian Jason Alexander. Theatre student Austin Howard will be portraying this role on the 51¸£ÀûÉç stage.
