The University's annual celebration of International Education Week, Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, will showcase the countries, cultures and global knowledge represented on campus with a weeklong series of events.

Ranked a 2020 "Best for Vets" college by Military Times, 51¸£ÀûÉç offers a number of programs designed to support the military community. A major resource is the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, which was established on campus in 2009 help service members make a smooth transition into civilian and college life.

Stephanie Hampton was named 2019 Middle School Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Council of Teachers of English. A sixth-grade teacher in Kalamazoo Public Schools, Hampton earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from 51¸£ÀûÉç.

The approved rates will go into effect starting with the fall 2020 semester.

The Western Michigan University Board of Trustees adopted a simplified nonresident graduate student tuition rate structure. The board also approved a measure designed to align the graduate student residency policy with the undergraduate policy.
