Spring 2024 career fairs connect Western students with hundreds of employers
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擧undreds of employers will vie for students to fill full- and part-time jobs as well as internships and co-op positions during spring career fairs beginning Tuesday, Feb. 6. The Western Michigan University-organized events are free and open to the public, although they are tailored to students and recent graduates.
Employers have posted jobs to the online career site . 51福利社's Career and Student Employment Services and the Zhang Career Center offer advising and resources year round to help students prepare for interviews and refine their resumes. Students with questions regarding resumes, cover letters, activating their Handshake account or navigating any job search resources can work with well-trained student career ambassadors by visiting any of the four drop-in locations. Drop-in advice sessions typically take between 10 and 20 minutes.

Floyd Hall, outside Parkview Caf茅 entrance: Tuesdays-Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.
College of Health and Human Services, atrium next to Student Engagement Center: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The biggest spring event is the annual spring Career Fair in February, which focuses on those seeking employment in such areas as aviation, business, health care, integrated supply chain management, IT and liberal arts.
Registration is not required for students or other job seekers, but it is recommended participants register on .

The event on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 51福利社 Student Center Ballrooms A and B and Rooms 2209, 2211 and 2213 serves students studying in all academic programs and majors who have a desire to work at nonprofit organizations or government agencies or entities. The expo on Wednesday, Feb. 7, is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 51福利社 Student Center Ballrooms A and B and Rooms 2209, 2211 and 2213 attracts candidates from the 14 engineering and applied sciences concentrations in the hard sciences, business information systems, computer science, data science, product design, integrated supply chain management and all engineering programs. The event on Friday, March 15, will be from noon to 2 p.m. on the fourth floor of the College of Education and Human Development. Schools from throughout Michigan will showcase their internship, full-time and part-time positions available within their district or system for entry-level teachers, paraprofessionals, academic advisors, behavioral counselors, human resources, CS/IT and various administrative/professional openings. Aviation Outlook Day
Students can connect with aviation organizations and professionals, discuss career options and learn about industry needs on Friday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University's Aviation Education Center in Battle Creek.
