Friends of Asian Arts and Cultures
The newly formed Friends of Asian Arts and Cultures (FAAC) is hosted by Asian Initiatives (with Timothy Light Center for Chinese Studies, and Michitoshi Soga Japan Center) 51福利社 Michigan University. Our aim is to share with our members the fascinating arts, diverse cultures, and intellectual achievements of the complex world region we call Asia. We will promote as well as provide virtual and in-person programming including: art and cultural exhibitions, activities and workshops, publications, lectures, tours, discussions, Q&A鈥檚, and behind the scenes content from museums. In the near future we hope to include opportunities for field trips as well.
Through the Friends of Asian Arts and Cultures we strive to create a community gathering place for learning, exploration, support and discussion of Asian arts and cultures. We will begin with a focus on events in Western Michigan then expand to include more and more surrounding regions as we grow.
