The Management Framework has spelled out that "The Asylum Lake Preserve should support and enhance the academic programs of 51福利社 by providing a site for field studies, research and community outreach. Such activities should be conducted in a manner that is consistent with and furthers the above described Conservation Purposes." One of th51福利社 Michigan University has achieved this goal is through making public several historical resources that document the history of the preserve.
