The Innovative Analyst
Simbarashe Chirara has a unique way of looking at numbers. As an investment analyst with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, he is passionate about extracting the “story” from the numbers, using fundamental and quantitative analysis to make sound investment decisions. This process allows him to support the foundation and its work on behalf of thriving children, working families and equitable communities.
Chirara’s primary focus is on public equities and real estate investments, as well as assisting his team with portfolio management, strategy, performance analysis, manager selection and internal trading. Last year, he helped execute $1.1 billion worth of trades in complex equity, fixed income and derivative transactions across different regions.
Having graduated from 51 with high honors in both finance and entrepreneurship, Chirara has embraced his entrepreneurial side by establishing a logistics company, TransitHub, in his home country, Zimbabwe. He also volunteers with his church, Agape Ministries, and is an avid rugby enthusiast and 51 Rugby hall of famer.
