Strategic Sourcing Superstar
The fundamentals of supply chain management—obtaining resources, managing supplies, and delivering goods and services—are important for any business, but especially when that business is healthcare. As a surgery contract specialist for Bronson, Jared Coleman makes sure healthcare workers have exactly what they need so they can focus on prioritizing patients.
Responsible for more than $20 million in annual spending for surgical units that include general and robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular operations, anesthesiology and more, Coleman’s goal is to identify cost savings opportunities while also maximizing quality and patient care. His role has become especially critical during COVID-19, as he now manages procurement of personal protective equipment and other pandemic supplies.
Additionally, Coleman serves as co-chair for Bronson’s surgery value analysis committee. In this role, he has helped break down supply chain silos and ensure optimal treatment through standardization and clinical collaboration.
