After graduating from Western Michigan University in 2020, Riley Husted attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations degree. During her time in graduate school, Husted accepted a position in the human resources leadership development program with Raytheon Technologies (RTX). In the program, Husted rotates through various challenging assignments and attends cross-functional trainings to learn about the business from senior leaders. She’s always up for the challenge that comes with her roles and has received achievement awards from RTX management acknowledging her continued success.
Husted’s experiences as a human resources partner and total rewards specialist have allowed her to foster a positive working environment with all employees by becoming a trusted advocate for her client groups, while also focusing on achieving results for her leaders. During her time as an HR partner, Husted led a project which involved understanding the team’s attrition challenges and implementing retention solutions.
Husted eagerly embraces additional roles to build her network and expertise. She’s a member of two enhancement teams supporting the leadership development program across all functions at RTX, is a peer mentor, and helps with virtual and on-campus recruiting for new talent.
