Though many of these workplace topics are not new, how they are framed and their rising importance to both employees and employers is. Experience is the best teacher. As experiential emphasis has grown through course projects, industry connections and innovative teaching, college leaders have developed an approach to undergraduate education that formalizes experiential learning as the center of the B.B.A. program.

Examples of experiences
New offerings in graduate and executive education
The graduate offerings at the Haworth College of Business are growing, with the college offering several certificate programs beginning in fall 2023. In addition, the college offers training in Lean Six Sigma.
Portugal business study abroad
Graduate students now have the opportunity to be immersed in a variety of businesses and industries in Portugal. Participants in the short-term study abroad experience, scheduled for this summer, will meet with entrepreneurs and local trade experts to discuss the country’s economic and political environment.
In addition, there will be time for cultural exploration in several cities, including Lisbon. The trip is led by Dr. Steve Newell, associate dean of graduate programs and operations, Tom Kelly, faculty specialist I and director of the Supply Chain Management Center, and Renuka Phillips, director of graduate programs and the Global Business Center.
