Admission into the Department of Dance is a multi-step process:
  1. Submit a 51福利社 application: Seek admission to the university by applying through admissions.
  2. Register to audition: Submit an application and register through Acceptd to audition for the Department of Dance. 
  3. Attend an audition, virtually or in person: Below is a list of audition and interview opportunities and information about participating in each.

*Students who submit audition materials and have been accepted by the university by January 31 will be considered for dance scholarships. Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to be eligible for need-based financial aid and scholarships through both the university and dance program.

Audition results

In-person audition results will be emailed within approximately two weeks using the contact information you provide through your audition registration on Acceptd.  Virtual auditions will be reviewed concurrent with on-site auditions with results sent via email within approximately two weeks. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide individual feedback to the many students who audition each year. 

Dance minors are not required to audition. Due to excessive enrollments, the department is currently placing prospective dance minors on a waiting list for entrance into the dance minor program. To be placed on the dance minor waiting list, please email your name, local phone number and current email address to thom.cooper@wmich.edu. You will be contacted by email when space is available for you to enroll in the dance minor program.
