Financial: Where can I get help making my graduate career financially feasible and possibly more affordable?

  • Bronco Express - Assist students with transactions and questions related to financial aid, making payments, student accounts and general registration information

Research Funding, grants and fellowships

  1. Research & Travel Grants are supported by the Graduate College. Link here for the listing of Graduate College fellowship and grants.
  2. The Graduate Student Research Grant supports graduate students engaged in a variety of scholarly and creative activity.
  3. The Graduate Student Travel Grant supports graduate student travel for presenting and disseminating scholarship and creative activities. These grants are competitive applications, completed online in three cycles a year.
  • Graduate Student Association (GSA) – GSA offers funding to student organizations for events as well as to individual students for various research, certification, and data collection purposes. 
  • Office of Research and Innovation- 51¸£ÀûÉç office that supports research efforts and lists internal and external funding opportunities for students 
  • Search for on campus employment or a graduate assistantship using  Handshake. This is activated through your Go51¸£ÀûÉç account. 
  • Graduate assistantships or graduate appointments are positions that provide a stipend and tuition remission in exchange for graduate student professional service. The positions include teaching assistants, research discovery and research application. These positions are highly competitive. Each department has its own process for hiring. Some positions are limited only to individuals in specific graduate programs and with a specific set of skills; other positions may be appropriate for a broader audience. Students should first contact their home academic program or department, then register with Handshake where on campus jobs are posted.
