A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) is not required; however, students are asked to enter information regarding Relevant Experiences and Achievements in the CSDCAS application.

  Graduate test

This program does not require a graduate test.

Note: International applicants are asked to provide scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). More information can be found within the online application.

  Recommendations

This program requires 3 letters of recommendation from individuals able to comment on the applicant's academic and practicum achievements and potential for successful graduate work.

  Written statement

This program requires written responses to the following prompts within the Communication Science and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS):

(1) Discuss how your experiences and attributes have prepared you for a career in the field of communication sciences and disorders. We encourage you to give explicit consideration to the diversity of the populations you will be serving (1500 characters max)

(2) Discuss your career goals and objectives (1500 characters max)

  Previous written work

This program does not require any previous written work be submitted.

This program does not require any other program materials to be submitted.

  Transcript requirement

An official transcript from the institution from which you received your bachelor degree is required, as well as a transcript from the institution(s) where any additional graduate level courses or degrees have been taken/completed. Applicants are not required to submit an official transcript of courses taken/completed at 51¸£ÀûÉç.

  Additional information

Prerequisites:

Specific Admissions requirements include:

1. A grade point average of at least 3.00 in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study

2. Undergraduate preparation including completion of course work or transcript credit in each of the following areas: (a) biological science, (b) statistics, (c) physical sciences (physics or chemistry), and (d) behavioral sciences;

3. Course work or transcript credit that provides information on basic human communication processes (coursework or transcript credit in speech and language development and the science of speech and hearing); and

4. Course work or transcript credit in speech, language, and hearing disorders.

Note: The course work noted above is typically included in undergraduate degree programs in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences. Students with undergraduate degrees in other disciplines are encouraged to apply and may be able to include some of this preliminary course work in their graduate programs.
