General summary
Oversees the patience experience function for the student health center. Develops and implements marketing, promotion, and communication plans.
Major duties
- Serves as member of the student health center leadership team, which sets and implements overall strategic direction for the health center.
- Develops and maintains marketing materials, communications, website, promotional plans, and event outreach. Disseminates key messages to campus and community constituents.
- Serves as primary customer service contact, handling complaints, service issues. Implements and executes patient satisfaction survey.
- Responsible for strategic planning, quality improvement, innovation, and coordination of new initiatives and technology.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises patient access services staff.

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Experience with marketing and communication.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate and coach.
- Experience with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Demonstrated project management and implementation skills.
- Proven marketing experience based upon job documentation and industry best practices.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Required other
- Ability to travel to correctional institutions outside of Kalamazoo.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
