General summary
Provides support in supplying cultural initiatives for the Asian community across campus.
Major duties
- Oversees daily operations of Chinese language and culture programming.
- Maintains outreach and engagement for Chinese language and culture programming events.
- Supports culture classes, workshops, and other culture activities.
- Provides administrative support to department leadership.
- Maintains communication with partner school districts and schools.
- Develops and sustains relationships with other community organizations.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Chinese language competency.

- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Desired experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Study abroad, living or working experience in China.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
