General summary
Provides support and assists in executing all marketing efforts for Miller Auditorium and its programmed shows.
Major duties
- Coordinates the production of marketing campaigns and materials, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines. Develops and maintains comprehensive digital marketing plans and calendars, including social media strategies.
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with area and national media representatives to ensure coverage.
- Oversees web development and design, ensuring the content and maintenance of the website align with marketing goals. Writes and proofs copy for promotional materials, press releases, web content, and social media posts.
- Ensures compliance with institutional communication, branding, and marketing standards, maintaining the integrity of the overall brand. Translates key message points into clear and effective communications that meet well-defined objectives.
- Assists with public relations efforts, including fundraising, sponsorships, grants, and sales initiatives. Interprets data for better planning of sales and marketing efforts.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Experience in marketing, public relations, communications, and design.
- Experience with social media.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
