Two ELRT faculty awarded research grant by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Dr. Ramona Lewis, Faculty Specialist II and Higher Education and Student Affairs Program Coordinator, and Dr. Eric Archer, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in Higher Education, were awarded a research grant by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Region IV-East to support their project entitled, Assessing the Intercultural Development of Graduate Students in a Student Affairs Preparation Program. This research project examines the impact of professional preparation in student affairs on the intercultural development of MA students enrolled in the higher education and student affairs leadership program in the College of Education and Human Development at 51¸£ÀûÉç. Drs. Lewis and Archer will present the results of their research at the 2022 NASPA IV-E Regional Conference in Chicago in November 2022. NASPA IV-E is dedicated to serving the needs of NASPA members in what would broadly be described as Upper Midwest. Its goal is to provide members with a forum to address regional issues while providing specialized professional development and networking opportunities. Drs. Lewis and Archer are active in research and consulting efforts related to intercultural development both at 51¸£ÀûÉç and in the larger Kalamazoo community.
