Prospective Graduate Students
The Medieval Institute boasts a 60-year-old master鈥檚 program in medieval studies, the first such program at a state-supported university in the U.S. The program blends traditional emphases on language skills and primary texts with a wide variety of courses on leading-edge subjects in premodern studies taught by faculty across many disciplines. Graduates of the program have gone on to doctorates in a variety of fields, teach in secondary and higher education and pursue careers in areas such as publishing, government service, libraries and archives and more.
