Annual Review Self-Reporting Form

The Medieval Institute 51福利社 Michigan University, in accordance with the requirements of the Graduate College, administers an annual review of M.A. candidates in medieval studies to encourage students to reflect upon their progress in the program and to enable the director to better mentor them. Students self-report their progress by means of this online form (due Jan. 15 for first-year students and Feb. 1 for second- and subsequent-year students).

List courses in progress and completed in reverse chronological order thus: course number, course title, semester, grade, core or elective.

Thesis (required)
Are you planning to write or are you currently writing a master's thesis?
Please describe your progress toward completing a thesis. Indicate whether a proposal has been accepted and who has agreed to supervise, the names and departments of any who have agreed to serve on the thesis committee, an accounting of research undertaken and planned, and the expected defense date.

Students meet with the director of the Medieval Institute within three weeks of the deadlines for self-reporting to discuss the student's progress, and a final report, which includes the director's comments and evaluation, is signed by the student and the director and becomes a part of the permanent record.
