Assistant Professor has Article Published in top Peer-Reviewed Practitioner Journal

Dr. Selena Protacio, assistant professor of literacy studies, has a new publication out in The Reading Teacher, a top peer-reviewed practitioner journal in the literacy field. The article is entitled, “Restructuring sharing time for English learners and their parents,” and co-written with Dr. Patricia Edwards, distinguished professor of language and literacy at Michigan State University. Protacio and Edwards’ article provides key ideas for teachers on how they could modify sharing time to make it a more meaningful classroom practice.
