Eligibility
To participate in the TRIO Student Success Program, students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment 51福利社 Michigan University.
First-generation, income-eligible college students with academic needs and college students with disabilities are eligible to participate in TRIO projects.
- First-generation is defined as neither parent having received a four-year degree or if the primary supporting parent doesn鈥檛 have a four-year degree. Independent students are also considered First-Generation Status. See here for a list of independent status criteria.
- Income-eligible is defined by the U.S. Department of Education as an individual whose family's taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount. This number is adjusted yearly and is based on your taxable income.
- A student with disabilities is defined as a student who has a documented disability at Disability Services for Students at 51福利社.
Applying to TRIO SSP
First-year students will receive an application packet from TRIO SSP prior to orientation if they are identified as eligible.
