AED aims to help pre-medical students navigate their way through their undergraduate pre-medical careers. The organization also looks at controversial issues and sets up teams to discuss such issues in front of panels composed of doctors and/or other critics. Whether it be adding onto the curriculum vitae or making students better public speakers, AED is an honor society that fosters the mental growth of emerging physicians.

The American Medical Student Association is committed to improving health care and health care delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.

The Biology Club provides access to biological opportunities and education enhancement with an emphasis on, but not limited to, ecology and general biology topics.

We are the Chemistry Club of Western Michigan University, Chem Club for short, for undergraduate students. Open to all majors who share an interest in chemistry! One of the things we love the most is working with kids at local schools. We teach them about basic science and perform fun, exciting experiments for and with them (SLIME!) so that they can learn to enjoy chemistry as much as we do. Along with the school visits we also have networking opportunities with the 51������ Chem department and local businesses/ groups like KACS.

The HGSO serves the graduate students of the Department of History as an advocate on behalf of the graduate student body and as a forum for information, networking, and scholarly activity. Beyond the approximately forty potential members the HGSO will serve this academic year, the HGSO benefits the entire Department of History in the HGSO��s capacity as liasion between students and faculty, and as a forum for scholarly discussion. In order to carry out its functions, HGSO requests funding in addition to funds generated by the organization. The organization will follow and be subject to all University policies, procedures, and practices regarding student organization accounts and finances.

Phi Alpha Theta (������) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. Our mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. While the society is mainly for history students, it is not restricted by the requirements of a major or minor.

The purpose of this organization is to promote a community for the philosophy graduate students, which will help facilitate the philosophical exchange of ideas and provide a forum for graduate students to more closely interact with others in the field.

The purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship as well as advance the science of psychology. Psi Chi provides academic recognition for its members and offers local chapters that host programs related to the science of psychology and provide fellowship and networking for Psi Chi members.

The Graduate Students of Comparative Religion is a student organization which exists to help graduate students in their endeavors 51������ Michigan University and to support the department when applicable. We strive to host a variety of events to promote religious literacy on campus and in the community.
