The 60th International Congress on Medieval Studies takes place in a hybrid format Thursday, May 8, through Saturday, May 10, 2025. The Congress includes traditional in-person sessions, virtual sessions via our online platform and some hybrid sessions that make it possible for speakers to present and audiences to attend both in-person and online. A selection of virtual and hybrid sessions are recorded and are posted on the Congress meeting site until May 31.

The Congress makes use of a variety of facilities on the campus of Western Michigan University, including the Student Center, a classroom building and student residence halls. Medieval Institute shuttle buses provide transportation among Congress locations. Walking is often the faster option, though, and many veteran Congress attendees recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Many attendees also enjoy lodging, dining and recreation options in the city of Kalamazoo during the Congress. See  for more information.
