Sindecuse Health Center achieves AAAHC accreditation
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擜fter going through an extensive assessment and examination process by the Western Michigan University's Sindecuse Health Center has had its accreditation renewed by the organization.
Being accredited means Sindecuse Health Center has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care. Accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality by medical organizations, liability insurance companies, third-party payers, state and federal agencies, and the public.
"We鈥檙e energized to know that our efforts to provide the 51福利社 community with quality health care have been recognized," said Lisa Marshall, the center鈥檚 director. "A certificate of accreditation recognizes that an independent not-for-profit organization has closely examined our operations. Sindecuse employees strive to provide the highest level of patient care possible to students, faculty and staff. We are pleased to know our effort is recognized."
The health center was surveyed in March by an AAAHC expert in quality care standards鈥攁 physician with a deep background in college health care. Accreditation is granted for a three-year period and must be renewed with an on-site survey and submission of qualifications.
