TRIO SSP Scholarship

Scholarship Requirements:

  • recipient
  • Cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Must have completed the TRIO Needs Assessment, TRIO Semester Meeting, and TRIO Semester Meeting Verification Form.
  • Complete the following iGrad Requirements: Financial Wellness Checkup, and Money Personality Assessment (First-time users and freshmen).
  • Any 2 iGrad modules for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
  • Attend at least one TRIO SSP event/workshop.
  • Complete the required essay (see below).

Note: Scholarship applications are accepted during the fall semester. If selected for the scholarship, funds will be dispersed to student accounts the following spring semester. Scholarships accepted during fall 2023 will be awarded during the spring 2024 semester.

 

Hardship Scholarship Request

This application is for students facing an extreme financial hardship - anything from books for a class to an emergency tuition balance. Hardships will be thoroughly investigated and researched and each applicate will be vetted. When filling out the application, please be as open, detailed, and honest as possible to aid in the application process.

 

Student Emergency Relief Fund

The Student Emergency Relief Fund (SERF) is one time financial gift that is given to students experiencing urgent financial need. This fund is a part of the Invisible Essential Needs Project and is meant to alleviate some barriers a student may face.

Examples of eligible expenses:

  • Fire/flood damage
  • Repair/replace eyeglasses
  • Auto repairs (non-accident)
  • Laptop repairs
  • Qualified medical (e.g. dental)

Examples of ineligible expenses:

  • Monthly bills (e.g. rent)
  • Tuition/textbooks
  • Auto maintenance or accident repair
  • Tickets/towing
  • Food/toiletries/household items

 

Scholarships for Incoming Students
